VivaNET / Datafast have advised of an outage affecting the Melbourne DIALix POP, as follows:

Regions Affected: Melbourne POP
Customers that have phone number on our 03 8624 8000 - 03 8624 8299 and 03 8624 2900 - 03 8624 2999 number ranges are currently receiving an "The number you have called is not connected" message.
There has been a major number portability issue where these number were originally
terminated on Telstra PRI were ported to PowerTel around 18 months ago. These
number ranges have been ported back to Telstra by PowerTel without authorization
from Datafast. We are working with the PowerTel Network Operations Centre to have this port reversed to enable services again.
Customer with current sessions will remain connected however, if they try to
establish a new call they will receive the "The number you have called is not
connected" message.
Due to the nature of the fault, no restoration time is available.
