GoDomains is now offering New Zealand (.nz) domain name multi-year registrations and renewals.
Registration of .co.nz and .net.nz domains has traditionally been limited to single year fixed registration and renewal terms.
We can now offer .nz domains registered up to 10 years in advance.
Our general advice is that a 2-year registration provides a good balance, taking into account issues such as:
Brand names and company objectives may change over time, so you may not wish to commit to very long terms such as 10 years, particularly for new brands;
Contact details may become out of date over time, and the chances of relocations, staff changes and so on become greater as the years roll by. Consequently, a lower renewal interval is an opportunity to periodically check that contact information is kept up to date.
Prices for domains have tended to come down over times, so locking into a long renewal term now may actually be more expensive in the long term if prices do continue to fall.
