EURid have just announced the launch date for .eu, which is to be 7 December 2005.

As one of the first .eu accredited registrars, we will in the first instance be providing priority registration for holders of EU trademarks. Please contact us to arrange pre-registration for .eu domains based on trademarks with validity in the European Union.

Note that all .eu applications are lodged and processed by the registry on a first-in, first-served basis.

We are not current accepting general (non-trademark) .eu applications, which will become available in the "landrush" phase expected in the first half of 2006. However, non-EU trademark holders are welcome to contact us to be added to our .eu mailing list and we will provide notification of release dates and processes as they become available.
