.my is the official coutnry code for Malaysia. Registrations are NOT available directly in .my, but are accepted in various sub-domains such as .com.my, .net.my and .org.my.
.com.my is the official ending for Malaysian commercial organisations.
Special requirements for .com.my domains
Applicants must have a local company registration in Malaysia. This may take one of several forms but in all cases will require written proof from the relevant Malaysian government authority, for example the Ministry of Industrial Trade and Industry (MITI) for a representative or regional office, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a foreign office.
The domain must not be a well-known Malaysian place name in either Englsh or the Bahasa Malaysia equivalent (except where being applied for by the applicable State authority). The name must not be offensive and must not contain words sensititive to the main religions in Malaysia.
